I haven't been doing any work at all lately. I spent two weeks on holidays with my family in Portugal and it's fair enough that I didn't do anything while I was there. But now that I've come back I ought to be doing SOMETHING. Bah, I feel like I've just wasted a year of my life at LondonMet, I didn't do much on the course, the assignments just felt like doing chores. I used to do so much creative work in Foundation! It's making me a bit frustrated. I'm trying to set up a portfolio and I feel like I haven't got anything worthwile to show.

To make matters worse, when I got back from Portugal my boyfriend had put up a painting in our flat that was made by his ex. Urgh! I must admit that the painting is actually nice... No way in my life will I ever like that painting though. It's like an intrusion in my home. I don't hate it enough to take it down, so I'll leave it there as a personal challenge, a challenge to outdo that painting with my own work. I've had this painting of a woman for about 6 months that I haven't finished - it's still in the sketch phase! Hopefully my boyfriend's ex's painting will motivate me to finally complete my work... Hopefully...
